Homemade Hot Chocolate Powder
As soon as the weather turns colder, there is nothing like a good hot chocolate to warm you up. And hot chocolate made with real chocolate is always the way to go. Topped with fresh cream and marshmallows for a delicious treat.
This simple recipe made with cocoa powder, milk powder and sugar can be bulk made in advance. Just add boiling water for a delicious hot drink for all the family. What’s even better is you can layer the mix into jars as a gift for friends and family, or to sell it to customers to enjoy at home.
The inclusion of milk powder also means that the hot chocolate will come out rich and creamy.
Ingredients for Homemade Hot Chocolate Powder
Makes approximately 20 cups of hot chocolate.
270g Caster Sugar
100g Cocoa Powder
Method for Mixing Homemade Hot Chocolate Powder
- Place all the above ingredients in a bowl and mix until well combined.
- Once mixed, pour into a jar and seal until required.
- To make your hot chocolate, add 2–3 teaspoons to a mug and top with boiling water.
If gifting, consider layering the three ingredients in the jar or putting mini marshmallows on top.
