Potion Ingredients:
- 6 ring doughnuts (made with JM Posner’s Yeast Donut Mix)
- 200g icing sugar (from a witch's cauldron)
- Black food colour gel (squeezed from a bat's eye)
- Eurocao’s Martian Green Coating
- Chocolate & caramel writing icing pens (a wizard's spell book)
Incantations:
- Lay the doughnuts flat, awaiting their alchemical transformation on a clean tray.
- Sift the icing sugar and divide it equally into 3 sections.
- Add a few drops of water to each, 1 tsp at a time, and conjure up a thick but spreadable potion.
- Colour one potion with pumpkin orange food colouring, another with swamp green, and the last with ominous black.
- Use Eurocao Coatings as the foundation for the decorating of the doughnuts.
- With your icing pen, design wispy spiderwebs atop each doughnut. For an extra eerie touch, adorn with chocolate spiders or sugar skulls.
- Extra Cackling: Summon spiders into existence by tying 4 strawberry laces in a knot and snipping the 'legs'. Dip them in the blackest of icing and let them set their eight-legged charm.
Beware: These doughnuts may cast a spell on your taste buds!

- 4 Granny Smith Apples (washed & dried)
- 200 g JM Posner’s Ghost White chocolate
- 200 g JM Posner’s Chocolate Noir
- JM Posner’s Vampire Fangs, Crispy Eyeballs, Blood Drops, or Bats Wings (any topping you like)
Equipment needed:
- 4 Lolly sticks
- Baking paper
Instructions:
- Push a lolly stick into each apple.
- Melt JM Posner’s Chocolate Noir in a small bowl over a small pan of barely simmering water. (Turn off heat once melted). Boil, Toil and Trouble.
- Holding the stick, roll 1 of the apples in the chocolate (you may need to tilt the bowl for full coverage) then place on baking parchment to set.
- Repeat with a second apple.
- Then melt JM Posner’s Ghost White Chocolate in the same way as the Noir and coat 2 more apples and then place all the coated apples in the fridge for 10 minutes to fully set.
- Once the chocolate has set, put the Ghost White Chocolate back over the heat to melt and place half of it in a small piping bag with a tiny nozzle or one fashioned out of baking paper with the end snipped off.
- Decorate the Chocolate Noir apple with a web pattern by starting with a series of downward stripes and then proceed to join those stripes with a small curve.
- Repeat procedure for the next dark chocolate apple.
- Then melt the remaining dark chocolate and repeat the above procedure for the white chocolate apples.
- Allow to set and then wrap in cellophane or roasting bags and tie with a ribbon or string!
Murderous Milkshakes
These Halloween Milkshakes are a scream! Made to look like ghosts, they are too delectable to give a fright! Grab a glass and let the ghosts of vanilla milkshakes tempt you into a spooktacularly delicious treat. No tricks!
Gather Your Ingredients:
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Jersey Dairy Vanilla Thickshake
- JM Posner’s Chocolate Noir Chips
- Whipped Cream
Conjure:
- Make the ghost faces on your glasses. Make them scary or friendly...either way the local monsters will do a mash for them.
- First, place the chocolate chips (in a microwave-safe bowl) in the microwave. Heat them for 30 seconds and then stir the chocolate. If the chocolate chips are not fully melted, do additional 15 increments, stirring after each one, until the chocolate is smooth and creamy.
- Line up your glasses on your kitchen counter or table. We use the end of a spoon handle to “paint” the melted chocolate onto the interior of the glasses to make the faces.
- Once you have the faces done, place the glasses into the refrigerator so the chocolate can set. This takes about 30 minutes.
- Gently press on the chocolate with a spoon or your finger to check if it’s set. If it doesn’t move or smudge, you are good to go!
- Place the ice cream and Jersey Dairy Vanilla Thickshake mix into your blender. Blend until mixed well. Adjust consistency by adding more milk if needed.
- Pour the milkshake into your glasses, leaving about an inch at the top of each glass for whipped cream.
