Ingredients for a classic cheesecake recipe
- 250g Cookie Crumble
- 150g unsalted butter, melted
- 600g cream cheese, at room temperature
- 200g granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200ml sour cream
Instructions for a classic cheesecake recipe
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a mixing bowl or a food processor, combine the melted butter with the cookie crumble. Mix the ingredients well until they coat all the cookie crumble.
Press the biscuit mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan, forming an even layer. Set aside.
In a separate mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gently fold in the sour cream until well combined.
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cookie crumble base into the springform pan.
Smooth the top with a spatula and tap the pan on the countertop to remove any air bubbles.
Place the cheesecake in the preheated oven. Cook it for approximately 50-55 minutes. Check if the sides are firm and the middle is slightly wobbly.
Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour to cool gradually.
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
To serve, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan and transfer the cheesecake to a serving plate.
